Extended Mother Ship Trips

Extended Mother Ship Safaris are designed best for keen anglers who target our big Barramundi in order to join the METER CLUB. Extended mother ship safaris are only available during the month of Feb/Mar/Apr/May which coincides with the "RUN OFF" Period.

This time of the year the wet season monsoon rains have finished and the fresh water is running off the wetlands pouring a lot of food into the main river for the hungry Barra. You will experience some explosive fishing during
the RUN OFF period.

Your guide (Micky Qaiser) will pick you up from your accommodation at 5am
on the first day and you will travel 2.5 hours in airconditioned Nissan Petrol TI, to your
fishing destination at Marry River ( Shady Camp). Once on the water you will
be fishing on the river at 7:45am on the way towards the mother ship already
anchored at the mouth of the river.

On these safaris you will be fishing some of the most remote areas where fish have never seen the angler, at this time of the year we catch and release most of the meter long Barramundi that we catch all year around. During this trip you will also experience reef fishing where we target our powerful Black Jewfish, Salmon & Snapper.

Mother ship safaris are ideal for fishing remote locations of the territory with minimum travel everyday. You will see plenty of saltwater crocodiles, birds of prey and unique territory coastline.

Tour includes hotel transfers, morning tea, lunch, cool drinks/ refreshments and all fishing equipment. At the end of the day you can enjoy a cold drink while you watch a sunset. Dinner is served on the mother ship with fresh catch of the day (Fish & Mud crabs).
